Crochet Books

For the most part I think the internet makes available most of the information about crochet (and whatever else) that I need.  However, sometimes it’s nice to have a well laid out package of patterns and tips with beautiful color photos and diagrams that I can browse through without being tethered to my computer.  Most recently I picked up The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet:

I had flipped through it at Barnes and Noble a few months ago but didn’t want to buy anything for myself before Xmas.  Last weekend I stopped in there again and decided to buy it.  It’s a beautiful book with very clear diagrams and swatch photos.  I like books that can be used as schematics for my own designs and this is certainly that kind of book.  It covers the basics plus many specialty techniques including Tunisian Entrelac which I’ve been itching to try for a while now.  It also has patterns sprinkled in that serve as examples of how the stitches can be used.  I’d definitely recommend it to any crocheter, beginner or advanced!

Other crochet books that I love:
