Knooking Socks

This weekend I found a thread on Ravelry that has basic instructions on knooking socks (knitting with a hook). The basic idea is pretty simple and not so different from crocheting socks but, like with any other sock pattern, it gets complicated when you get to the heel.

I tried it this weekend and have gotten this far:

What I’ve found is that my “knooks” are too big for socks. I need some very small gauge circular needles with a hook on one end. That doesn’t exist that I know of but it should! Knitting is not so hard for me if I have a hook on the end of my right needle :)
