I’ve been kind of crafting all over the place lately. I have no idea what my CAL project will be for August. I still want to make another little rug but have been distracted by all the other things I want to knit and crochet. I’m also working on designing crochet stitch patterns and blocks and have lots of ideas floating around in my head.
My
Coachella tank is taking a break. I finished the difficult/interesting part and the rest is just straight knitting to make it as long as I want. It’s boring so I’ve set it aside for a little bit. I WILL finish it though… I swear :)
Yesterday I decided to try out the Skew sock pattern. It looks complex but so far is pretty straight forward. Both Skew and Coachella are from knitty.com and are very easy knits. I’ve been knitting for just a couple months and have had no major problems. There are so many photos and videos around to help if you’re like me and don’t know how to cast on a certain way or wrap & turn or don’t know what the hell SSSK or LLinc mean.
This yarn (Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock Stripe in Pilsen) is perfect for showing off the unique diagonal pattern. I’m doing one at a time using the magic loop method because two at a time just seemed like it would get too confusing with this pattern. I hope I don’t develop second sock syndrome!
